Complex Ecologies reflects the diverse sub-tropical plant life that is seen in various botanical gardens across inner-city Meanjin/Brisbane. The design heroes the Frangipani tree as it merges in and out of intricate patterns found in the garden beds below. The continuous change and growth seen in the patterns reflects our urban botanical landscape, a shared space that is transient, offering solitude and connection with nature, or a place to meet and connect with others.

The Interior Landscape series were created for a collaborative suite of custom designed rugs with Designer Rugs Australia. View the rug for Complex Ecologies via this link.
