Gliding across a woven waterworld

Brian Robinson
Gliding across a woven waterworld, 2017
Linocut, enamel paint and black ink on board, 91.5 x 135cm

The small fever of five stingrays in the work represent Brian’s family life. The stingrays, as the totems for his family, glide as a unit through the woven ocean depicted as minaral design. The different personalities of his family are highlighted through the varying patterns and motifs on the five animals as a separation that synchronously connects them.
