6 November – 30 November 2019
Side Effect is an exhibition of contemporary ceramic objects that simultaneously embrace and transcend their inherent materiality. The artists in this exhibition challenge the limits of this expansive material – forcing ceramics out of its artisanal cast and propelling their work into a realm of storytelling, illusion and abstraction. Side Effect highlights the diverse potential of ceramics within contemporary practice.
Side Effect includes a stellar line-up of artists from across the country, including: Grace Chaplin, Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Dan Elborne, Colin Hopkins, Amy Kennedy, Meghan Puls, Melanie Robson, Liz Sofield.
Opening Night: Saturday 9 November, 5-7pm
